Our sweet tearoom/restaurant is in a quant 1919 craftsman house, where you will feel like you've walked into grandma's home. As part of the beautiful Historic Downtown Melbourne our tearoom/restaurant serves brunch, breakfast, and lunch and offers a variety of teatime options. We strive to provide a teatime option that fits the needs of everyone.

I grew up in western Nebraska where harvest time was a time for the farm kitchen to be full of amazing smells, and delicious food. My passion for food comes from those experiences and I can't wait to share my love for these comfort foods; simple, yet delicious food made in our kitchen. 

Some of my most cherished memories come from tea with my grandmother and in rural Nebraska afternoons spent with a friend or friends who would stop by for a treat and tea or coffee. It was a time to catch up, relax, and share life. We so love watching our guest's, who often become our friends, share tea on our porch or in our house, where they create sweet memories with family and friends.  We would be truly humbled and honored for our restaurant to be that place for you!

In 1994 I opened my first tearoom, My Victorian Heart, in my hometown of Gering, NE. And have actively shared my desire to create beautiful memories and experiences through events and food for the last 30 years. 

Our Teahouse offers a variety of options for teatime; anything from a simple tea with scones to a formal tea with tiers and loose leaf. You can also enjoy a pot of tea when you order off our brunch/breakfast/lunch menu. Join us for a teatime. We have scheduled teas every month and offer several different options, always posted on Facebook and book up quickly! We offer opportunities to schedule your own teatime with a friend, group of friends, Bible Studies, Prayer Groups, and any group! Also available are your special event teas in our Teahouse/Tearoom, such as Bridal and Baby Showers, Birthdays, Retirements and etc. Check our events page or Facebook page for upcoming teas and more information.

Harvest Thyme Kitchen is also the place to come for some home cooked comfort food, things like:

Made from scratch biscuits, our own recipe, and a selection of four gravies.

Country Breakfast with fresh crisp potatoes and your choice of toppings.

Cinnamon Rolls that are gooey and prepared from our own recipe from scratch.

Every day we offer a selection of made from scratch quiches!
